Emergency Packages

CAPS Deployment

Basic Emergency Package

This package allows pilots to follow through to the completion of the flight, something we normally can't do in emergency simulations in the aircraft. Gain proficiency to react quickly in the event of the real thing! We’ll spend time both in ground school and in the simulator in a comprehensive course to ensure your knowledge and skill levels are ready for any emergency.

 Memory-item and checklist emergency review
 General systems failures
 Electrical system/avionics failures
 Weather scenarios
 Normal procedures review

2 days to complete the course

Advanced Emergency Package

Apply knowledge gained in the Basic module to scenarios that involve real-world situations. Final practice will be a scenario that involves a series of events that resulted in an actual Cirrus accident.

 Discuss complex situations
 Multiple layers of decisions
System failure with deteriorating weather and severe weather nearby
ATC complexities with an autopilot failure
 Icing
Actual Cirrus Accident recreation and review

1 day to complete the course.
